Norstar entered the Finals beating their Semi Final opponents in 2 straight games by scores of 7 - 3 and 3 -2. Norstar's offence was lead by #18 Assistant Captain Michael Gillen with 2 goals and 4 assists and by #61 Assistant Captain Aaron Dartch with 2 goals and 3 assists. Goalie Randy Kilburn stopped 45 of 50 shots.
After losing game 1 of The Finals to 4 - 0 Norstar rebounded dramatically with a solid 3 - 1 victory. Michael Gillen tied the game at 1 -1 scoring on a very skillful deflection from Kyle Provily and Aaron Dartch. Exactly 60 seconds later #9 Ryan Stephenson slammed a one-timer from #47 Kraig Wright and #12 Jason Skinner - the eventually game winner. Jason Skinner out-hustled and out-muscled 4 opponents to score an empty net game clinching goal.
Game 3 of The Finals had all the hype of a big game and both teams did not disappoint. #6 Kyle DeCoste opened the scoring in the first period with a pass from #38 Adam Zamec giving Norstar a 1 - 0 lead. Later in the second period Aaron Dartch scored giving Norstar the lead again at 2 - 1 with assists from #13 Cameron Granger and #18 Michael Gillen. Then with 6:10 left in the game Assistant Captain #12 Jason Skinner cemented the victory scoring a one-time blast from #11 Rob Carreiro. Norstar won the game 3 - 2 giving them their 8th London Championship and a berth into the Provincial Championships being played in London August 9, 10, 11, 2014.
